Here are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions (FAQ)
How do I make a reservation for a Paddleboard tour/lesson/rental?
Reservations for private lessons and tours can be made by calling (865) 771 ISUP (4787) or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do I need any Paddleboard experience to go on a Paddleboard Knoxville tour?
None! You only need to know how to swim! A large percentage of our guests have had no prior experience with paddleboarding, thus, at your designated launch site, one of our trained guides will give you a great introduction to paddleboarding and provide you with all of the necessary equipment and give you an informative safety lesson. Regardless of your age or skill level you will find that our expeditions are safe and rewarding.
What do I need to bring on my Paddle Board trip?
Recommended items to bring on your tour include: a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a camera if you wish, and make sure to wear proper attire for weather conditions including water shoes. Most importantly…bring a great attitude!
Are there any age requirements for taking a Paddleboard tour with you?
Paddleboard Knoxville invites the whole family to join our Paddleboard adventures. The minimum age to participate in a Paddleboard Guided Tour is twelve years old. Those concerned with being “too old” can contact us to discuss their physical abilities.
Are there any physical limitations?
Anyone in average physical condition may join a Paddleboard Knoxville trip. The only prerequisite we require is a healthy spirit of curiosity and adventure. Our tours are not considered to be strenuous or physically demanding, and we do not require a high level of fitness, however, if you have any physical impairments that require special services, or have concerns about any special needs you or your group may have, please call us to discuss them.
How stable are your Paddleboards?
Paddleboard Knoxville offers boards ranging from 9-14 feet for you to use, specifically designed for comfort and safety. From very narrow Paddleboards for the more experienced Paddle Boarder to very wide ones for beginners, the Paddleboards and kayaks we use are all extremely stable, yet swift and easy to maneuver.
Should I “tip” my Paddleboard tour guide?
Although not required, a guide gratuity at the end of your trip is a nice gesture of appreciation for outstanding service, fun times and smiling children. Guiding is a hospitality industry; comparable to that of a server at a restaurant, except that our guides spend more time with you, teach you more, keep you safe and make your trip unforgettable.
